The Physicians Approval Network (PAN) is a nonprofit Association, founded by Joel M. Grisham, MD, to provide information and resource services for physicians who are interested in providing approvals for a patient's medicinal use of cannabis.
PAN provides a Physician Orientation that demonstrates the medical cannabis approval process and explains what a physician needs to know for compliance with the State Medical Board, as well as Federal and State laws, including HIPAA.
PAN provides a state-of-the-art HIPAA Compliant Telemedicine Platform for physicians to provide medical cannabis approvals on-line and stores patient's medical record and verifies physician's approval on-line.
PAN assists patients in finding a physician who provides medical cannabis approvals.
PAN PHYSICIAN DIRECTORY
The Pan Website includes a Directory of Physicians by State that provide medical cannabis approval services.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH (DPH) MEDICAL MARIJUANA PATIENT ID CARD
PAN assists patients in obtaining a DPH Patient ID Card that provides an exemption on State sales taxes on cannabis products. A physician's approval for the medicinal use of cannabis is required to obtain a DPH ID Card. The ID Card and physician's approval are valid for a period of 12 months.
Physicians who use the PAN medical cannabis approval Telemedicine software to approval a patient's use of cannabis, retain eighty percent (80%) of their approval fee. Twenty percent (20%) is retained by PAN for their services.
Eighty percent (80%) of the evaluation fees are transferred into the physician's bank account each week. Payments include a statement listing the names of Patient approvals.
PATIENT MEDICAL RECORDS
The physician's patient records are the property of the physician and are transferable in the event that the physician elects to withdraw from the Network. Transfer of records will be completed within 5 working days.
TERMINATION OF PAN SERVICES
PAN Services may be terminated by the physician at any time without cause. A 30-day written notice of intent to terminate services is requested.
